When it comes to gift giving, for me at least, I want it to be meaningful, special, and unique to the person receiving the gift. I would venture to say I'm a pretty good gift giver except when it comes to gifting to my husband 🤣 He's seriously so hard to buy for and trying to create a surprise for the person you live with and share a garage with isn't ideal... but he still loves me. We have a running joke I've succeeded at a good gift once in our marriage and that's enough (Christmas 2009). I will continue to try though, until I nail it again, he does continue to receive underwear and socks, because well he needs them and won't ever buy them! 🤭
In my opinion, gifts should speak to the person and tell a story about the love you share. As the gift giver, I think the gift should instantly say, "I know you." "I know what's important to you."
