Each Painting on the 31st will include a complete supply list with recommended paints, brushes, canvas, and other materials. You don't need anything fancy, and if you don't have exact color matches, pick something close or mix it up!
You can also purchase the full Paint On the 31st kit here. Each 31st will offer a kit specific to that project.
Is this a live class?
The painting experience is delivered as a guided video tutorial, so you can paint when it works for you. You can pause, rewind, take a break, and come back whenever you need to.
How long do I have access?

Drawing on over a decade of teaching experience, I will guide you through exactly what to do!
I have been teaching in a creative space since high school. From toddlers in tutus to adults in uniform. I have a wide range of teaching experience with a personal approach. I absolutely love teaching. I think it's what I was born to do, just not in the typical school setting.
I will be using not only my lived teaching experiences but also my education in teaching to provide you a relaxed, enjoyable experience.
But, that's not all! If at anytime you have questions or need extra help, I'm here.
My goal isn't to make you the best painter in all the world, it's to help you find your creative spark. Lead you to develop your own style and grow your confidence in creating!
What happens if there isn't a 31st next month?
Nothing!
You get a little breathing room.
Then we'll paint again when the calendar gives us another 31st.
That's the whole point. No recurring obligation, but joyful creation!
Can I sell or teach these designs?
You may not sell or teach the designs themselves.
Painting on the 31st isn't about finding another way to do more or make money.
It's about giving yourself permission to slow down, get creative, and make something just because you want to.

- I promise to have fun, relax, and enjoy the process. I will give myself permission to experiment, trust the process, and remember that this time is for me.
Refund Policy
Painting on the 31st experiences are non-refundable because they provide access to digital content.
Painting kits purchased in connection with a Painting on the 31st experience are also non-refundable.
If you purchase access to multiple future Painting on the 31st experiences at once—such as the full-year experience—that purchase is non-refundable as well.

Hi, I'm Jackie!
I've always loved making things.
But I've realized that what I love even more is teaching people how to make things, do things, and discover a part of themselves they may have missed before.
Teaching has always been one of my favorite parts of my career. From high school on, I've always been a teacher in some capacity. Toddlers in tutus to professionals in uniform, it's defined a part of me for as long as I can remember.
So naturally, when I founded October House Co. I knew one day it would lead me back to teaching.
I love helping someone realize they too can do something.
That's why I created Painting on the 31st.
It's not just another class for you to feel overwhelmed by.
It's not another things to add to your calendar and feel obligated to complete.
It's just a little time to sit down with yourself, pickup a brush, find the creative spark hidden inside all of us, and see what happens!
Because sometimes you don't need another productivity goal.
Sometimes you just need permission to breathe. A moment to make something.
